Prof. Dr. Yu-Cheng Fan

Prof. Dr. Yu-Cheng Fan is a Professor at the Department of Electronic Engineering, National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT), Taiwan, where he also serves as the Head of Department. He is currently the President of the Taiwan Consumer Electronics Society and actively contributes to the IEEE Consumer Technology Society as Treasurer, Finance Committee Chair, and BoG Member-at-Large. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University and was a visiting scholar at the University of Washington, USA.
His research interests span AI accelerator design, 3D image/video algorithms and chip design, and consumer electronics systems. Over the course of his career, Prof. Fan has published more than 200 journal and conference papers, and has received multiple accolades including 15 IEEE Best Paper/Presentation Awards, the Dr. Shechtman Young Researcher Award, IEEE ICCE-TW Service Award, NSTC Industry-University Cooperation Outstanding Achievement Award, and several teaching and research excellence awards.
Prof. Fan has been a key leader in international conferences, serving as General Chair and TPC Chair of IEEE ICCE-TW, TPC Chair of IEEE ICCE Las Vegas, and organizer or chair for IEEE ICCE-Asia, IEEE GCCE, ITET 2023, and ISDEA 2023. He is also a Senior Member of IEEE and a scholastic honor member of Phi Tau Phi. With his extensive contributions to consumer electronics research, academic leadership, and international collaboration, Prof. Yu-Cheng Fan is recognized as one of the leading voices in the global consumer technology community
